Chiefs Win Region!!!

The J.R. Trippe Chiefs won the Region Championship Thursday evening, as they defeated Dodge Co. 59-25. The Chiefs, who got a combined 40 points from Josh Farmer (14), De'Narius Atkins (14), and Andrew Edwards (12), scored 30 first-half points, running away from the visitors from Eastman.

Coach Lee McCloud Jr. said after the game that last year's second-place finish “may have been good” for his team. “I'm so grateful for the commitment of the players, parents, and coaches this season. Many of the guys were on a team that fell short of a championship last season. I truly believe one of the reasons we succeeded was because of what they learned from that 2nd place finish. This is truly a special group, and they absolutely dominated at times throughout the year. I have high expectations for the things they will accomplish moving forward!”
